Lehman offers a variety of quality slip mixer machines that
are designed for specific applications. Our smallest standard commercial
model is the Model 3236B and the largest is the Model
6060B with several
choices between. If none of our standard units meet the requirements then
we can build a custom model to do the job.
Pictured below is the Model 6060B shown with the optional tank
pallet, mixing platform and transfer pump. This system allows for a convenient
bottom drain and the work platform provides the best conditions for user
friendly mixing. The 6060B has a total dry weight load capacity of just
over 3 tons (6000 pounds) with a liquid yield of about 600 gallons at
a specific gravity of 1.78.
The
steel top frame provides support for all the mechanical components
and
the hinged fiberglass top covers seal the tank. The slotted funnel
cover (shown below in a close-up top view) is our latest improvement
that helps
eliminate dust during mixing. This new cover serves as a work surface
for the bag and directs the material into the vortex mixing action
to
increase mixing efficiency. Besides reducing the workload operator,
it also reduces the typical mess that ran occur in mixing. While
we do not
advertise this as a "dust free" system, it is as efficient
as you can get considering the application.
The same features of this large Model
6060B are incorporated
into each Lehman liquid slip blender. The smaller versions, (we have four
others) are most often used for specific applications like porcelain,
terra cotta and stonewares where batch sizes need to be less. The unique
central drive system we use on all models has no bearings or seals exposed
to the slip and carries a full two warranty.
The efficient mixing action provides thorough blending with
about 2 hours of labor. The variable pitch pulley on the motor allows
for r.p.m. adjustment so that the machine can be fined to any slip formula.
A full batch mix is required to insure the safe and effective operation
of the machine.
Lehman
also offers several types of transfer pumps designed to compliment any
system. Our EX4 (not shown) is an excellent choice for short distance
slip transfer in low volume applications. The air diaphragm pump featured
under the platform (shown above) is best in situations where high volumes
and long distance slip pumping are normally required.
If you need information regarding commercial slip production,
we can help. We can provide both formulation, and material source
help. We offer factory training and worldwide on-site training. We
also offer other types of items needed for industrial systems such
as, water meters, testing instruments, valves, plastic piping and
fittings.
Lehman has many years of equipment building experience and
we look forward to help find the best solution for your production
needs. Contact us directly for more complete specifications
